St. Louis native Alex Rich has been active in Jewish music from a young age, traveling the country with Rick Recht and staying involved in local organizations. A former college baseball player at Indiana University and part of the 2013 College World Series team, Alex now serves as the JCC St. Louis Maccabi Baseball coach and co-chaired the Camp Sabra Retreat for young adults. He’s worn many hats, from working for the St. Louis Cardinals to his sales role at Audacy and co-hosting the Y98 morning show. As a local social media influencer, musician, and philanthropist, you’ll often spot him at community events like Sababa.
Since 2022, Reis Lourie, aka Record Reis (instagram.com/record_reis), has been DJing at venues throughout St. Louis and beyond. Known in the Bar/Bat Mitzvah scene for his performances with Utopia Entertainment, Record Reis’ music influences across decades and genres. By day, he is a Junior at Ladue High School and a member of United Hebrew Congregation. We are so excited to have our locally-renowned Reis at Sababa alongside international artists like Gili Yalo (giliyalo.com). Check out the full musical lineup at sababastl.com/about/musical-performances!
As the St. Louis community gathers to celebrate Jewish culture, art, and family fun, the J and the St. Louis Jewish Federation strive to keep all attendees safe. To ensure guest safety and facilitate quicker entry into Sababa, we have implemented a strict bag policy limiting the size and type of bags allowed inside the venue. We strongly encourage guests not to bring bags, but if you do plan to do so, we ask attendees to visit sababastl.com/about/festival-information/ to learn specifications on the types of bags that are allowed into the festival.
We ask that everyone register ahead of our cutting-edge, outdoor festival in order to receive updates on weather changes, parking information, and more! Registration is completely free and can be completed at sababastl.com/about/register/.
