Join the National African American Insurance Association St. Louis Chapter (NAAIA-STL) for our Third Annual Black History Month celebration – the ‘STILL I RISE’ Scholarship Fundraiser and Awards Ceremony!

Join the National African American Insurance Association St. Louis Chapter (NAAIA-STL) for our Third Annual Black History Month celebration – “STILL I RISE” Scholarship Fundraiser and Awards Ceremony!

This inspiring event occurs on Thursday, February 27th, 2025, at 18Rails | The Venue @ CityFoundrySTL. The evening will honor leadership, innovation, and equity within the insurance and financial services industry while raising funds for scholarships to support the next generation of professionals.

This Year’s Theme
Our 2025 theme, “CELEBRATING OUR JOURNEY,” honors the insurance and financial services industry’s cultural impact—past, present, and future.

Awards Presented
During the evening, we will recognize outstanding contributions through the following awards:

  • The Colonel Clifton W. Gates Community Champion Award – Celebrating impactful efforts to reduce economic inequality and foster growth in St. Louis.
  • The Diversity Executive Champion of the Year Award – Honoring leadership excellence and initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • The Rising and Emerging Leadership Award – Recognizing innovative contributions within the insurance and financial services industry that inspire growth and foster positive change.
  • The NAAIA-STL Chapter Leadership Award – Honoring exceptional contributions to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion within the community.

Scholarship Presentations
Scholarships will also be awarded to high school students pursuing careers in insurance and financial services, ensuring the next generation of professionals thrives within our industry.

What to Expect

  • 5:30 PM – 6:00 PM: Member Reception
    Enjoy hors d’oeuvres and connect with NAAIA STL members, the Executive Board, and other attendees.
  • 6:00 PM – 6:45 PM: Awards Ceremony & Scholarship Presentation
    Celebrate leadership, innovation, and community impact.
  • 6:45 PM – 10:00 PM: Networking & Entertainment
    End the evening with networking and dancing to live DJ entertainment.

  • Member Ticket: $100 (includes Member Reception access)
  • Non-Member Ticket: $150 (includes Member Reception access)
  • Full Table Ticket: $1,500 (includes 10 seats, group seating, company-branded table tent, and Member Reception access)
  • Sponsor a Student Ticket: $75 (supports a student’s attendance; no physical ticket provided)

  • Full Page Ad: $1,000 (8.5″W x 11″H)
  • Half Page Ad: $500 (8.5″W x 5.5″H)

The National African American Insurance Association (NAAIA) was organized to create a network among people of color and others employed in or affiliated with the insurance industry. The association currently has chapters throughout the nation and its members represent every sector of the industry. Pooling this wealth of talent contributes significantly to the association and its members through the sharing of professional knowledge, information and experiences.

NAAIA attempts on a continuous basis to promote and enhance professionalism in a manner that leads to industry recognition and career opportunities for its members.

The NAAIA-STL chapter coordinates the local efforts of the association and welcomes memberships from all around the St. Louis metropolitan area.
