Learn how to request and submit an absentee ballot for upcoming elections. Stay informed and exercise your right to vote.
Absentee ballots are available NOW for the November 5 General Election. This means that you can go to your city or township clerk’s office, request an absentee ballot, complete it, and return it – all in one trip.
If you’d like to vote by mail, you can request your ballot:
Online: Go to MI.gov/vote and click on the online application.
By mail: Print and complete this form and mail it to your city or township clerk. (You can also call your city or township clerk and request that an application be sent to you.)
If you’ve already applied for your absentee ballot, but you haven’t received it yet, you can track your application and your ballot online at MI.gov/vote. Just click on “Your voter information” and enter the required information to see the following:
The date your local clerk received your application.
The date your local clerk mailed you your ballot.
The date your completed ballot was received by your local clerk.
If there’s no date under a particular step, it means that step is not complete.
