Affinia Healthcare Urgent Care rings in decade anniversary with new name and branding, staying committed to community health in St. Louis.
ST. LOUIS, MO – This year, the Affinia Healthcare Urgent Care celebrated its 10th anniversary. Another year older, the Urgent Care is evolving, reemerging as Affinia Healthcare Convenience Care, a new name with the same high-quality care for patients.
Affinia Healthcare has provided urgent care services at its 2220 Lemp Avenue location since 2014. Urgent care services allow patients to see a healthcare professional for immediate care, and sometimes, avoiding a trip to the emergency room.
“With the new name, we want to remind patients of the benefits of coming to Convenience Care,” said Jocelyn Hawthorne, Assistant Vice President, Health Center Operations. “This is an opportunity for our patients to receive high-quality, immediate care at our renovated Lemp Avenue location, and maybe save them time and money they would spend at the emergency room.”
Affinia Healthcare Convenience Care is staffed by physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses and other healthcare professionals. The services offered include:
Screenings & physical exams (e.g., school, sports, employment, adoption)
immunizations/vaccinations
tuberculosis (TB) screening tests
cold & flu symptoms/sore throat
ear pain/infection
pinkeye
allergies
minor skin rashes/infections
minor cuts, burns, bites, & stings
sprains & strains
nausea, vomiting, diarrhea (w/o signs of dehydration)
asthma/COPD
pregnancy testing
STI testing & treatment
The Convenience Care copay starts at $75. Affinia Healthcare accepts Medicaid, Medicare, and most private insurances. Convenience Care offers a sliding fee scale to patients who meet certain income requirements. Patients who apply and are eligible will pay a discounted fee. Proof of income is required. Payments are due at the time of service.
The Affinia Healthcare Convenience Care is open at Affinia Healthcare, 2220 Lemp Ave., Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome.
