Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis (BGCSTL) is a proud charitable organization of the Ascension Charity Classic (now named the Stifel Charity Classic presented by Compliance Solutions). BGCSTL received $200,000 for teen programs at BGC’s Teen Center of Excellence in Ferguson.
BGCSTL President/CEO Brandon Williams said, “Thank you, Ascension, for your commitment to providing youth with the tools needed to get future–ready. At Boys and Girls Clubs, we know that when we equip our youth with the resources they need to succeed, they can build Great Futures. Thank you again for being a vital partner.”
The PGA Tour Champions took place at Norwood Hills Country Club from September 6 – 8, 2024. Three 2024 primary beneficiaries, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis (BGCSTL), Marygrove, and Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis (ULMSTL), received $200,000. The Official PGA Tour Champions raised more than $800,000 for charitable organizations, surpassing 3.4 million since inception in 2020.
“St. Louis’s official PGA TOUR Champions event at Norwood Hills Country Club delivered a fantastic 2024 tournament,” said Eric Engler, Ascension EVP and Chief of Staff. “The real winners of the tournament have always been charity, and that remained true to form as the fourth annual event continued its focus on philanthropy and community. The tournament provides an incredible platform to give back, and as we shift into our new proud partner role with the Stifel Charity Classic, Ascension is looking forward to continuing to help make a difference for the youth and families in the Greater St. Louis area.”
Together with additional charitable donations from tournament events, including the Charity Putting Challenge presented by Compliance Solutions and Folds of Honor Friday presented by Compliance Solutions, the Stifel Charity Classic’s overall giving amount since its inception in 2020 now exceeds $3.4 million.
