The Fourth of July weekend begins today, Friday, July 4th, and festivities are expected to continue through Sunday. This means fireworks will be lighting up the sky all weekend long, whether or not they comply with local regulations.

The Argus Newspaper encourages everyone to celebrate safely and responsibly. We urge you to follow the guidance and warnings issued by the St. Louis Metropolitan Police to ensure a fun and safe holiday weekend for all.

St. Louis Metropolitan Police:

Parents: You will be held responsible for the behavior of your children. If your child posses, discharges or sells fireworks within #STL, they will be detained, you’ll pick them up and then you’ll be cited. Please help us ensure everyone has a safe and happy 4th of July!

Where to watch fireworks:

Celebrate Saint Louis is an incredible event that brings people from across the country together to honor America’s most festive birthday party. This year, we’re excited to host two days of unforgettable entertainment, community spirit, and patriotic pride.

This event features live performances, family-friendly attractions, delicious food, and lively music, and wraps up with a spectacular fireworks display—making it the ultimate summer celebration for all ages. Each year, we continue to build on our tradition, introducing new experiences and creating lasting memories for our community.

More:

In St. Louis, you can watch fireworks at several locations for the Fourth of July. Fair Saint Louis at the Gateway Arch National Park is a popular choice, featuring live music, food, and a fireworks display. You can also catch fireworks at Westport Plaza and City Museum, which offers a 360-degree view of fireworks across the city. Other options include Kirkwood Park, Jefferson Barracks Park, and Alton Amphitheater.

Join us on July 3rd and 4th, 2025, for an epic celebration of music, fun, and fireworks in the heart of St. Louis!

Have fun and stay safe; check on the May 16th storm victims, and others who were affected by the tragic event!
