It’s my favorite comedian Bill Bellamy’s 60th birthday, and it’s been a while since I last saw him perform in 2011 at Lumiere Casino. Back then, I was the lead online writer for The Examiner.com. Although Examiner.com is gone and Lumiere Casino is now Horseshoe Casino in Laclede’s Landing, Bill is still cracking everyone up. Let’s take a moment to revisit his 2011 performance.
Here is the story first published Nov 21, 2011, on the former Examiner.com:
Comedian Bill Bellamy made a triumphant return to Saint Louis with two electrifying shows at the stylish Lumiere Place Hotel & Casino. Performing for enthusiastic audiences at 7pm and 9pm, he left no one disappointed.
The evening kicked off with host Ali warming up the crowd with some sharp humor. Several comedians followed, including the wildly entertaining DLai, who had everyone in stitches with tales of East Boogie’s suburban quirks and dangers.
When the laughter seemed to have reached its peak, Bill Bellamy burst onto the scene, met with cheers from eager fans. He showcased not only his comedic talent but also his dancing, singing, and acting skills.

Bellamy’s set took the audience through a hilarious journey from the woes of erectile dysfunction treatments to the musings of drunk consciousness, and he offered a bold take on Michael Jackson’s doctor, Conrad Murray.
The night was a resounding success, filled with comedy and entertainment, culminating in fans snapping photos with the star. An after-party followed at Lola’s Nightclub in downtown Saint Louis.
