CAASTLCS 9th Annual Doors of Opportunity Gala brings together the community to celebrate and support empowerment programs in St. Louis. Join us for a night of impact and inspiration.

At the Community Action Agency of St. Louis County (CAASTLC), our mission is to stabilize and enrich vulnerable households by instilling hope and creating pathways to empowerment. We are committed to helping families and communities of St. Louis County transition from poverty to self-sufficiency for present and future generations.
I am delighted to reach out and extend an invitation for your invaluable support of CAASTLC’s 9th Annual “Doors of Opportunity” Gala, scheduled for Thursday, October 17th, at Orlando’s Event and Conference Center in Maryland Heights, Missouri.
At the heart of our “Doors of Opportunity” gala lies a celebration of the enduring legacy of Community Action Agencies, a legacy woven into the fabric of society over 63 remarkable years, tracing its roots back to the groundbreaking Economic Opportunity Act of 1964. Birthed from the vision of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., buoyed by the advocacy of President John F. Kennedy, mandated by the leadership of President Lyndon B. Johnson, and driven forward by the indomitable spirit of Sergeant Shriver, the legacy of the Community Action Agency is one of resilience, empowerment, and an unwavering commitment to eradicating poverty and inequality. With a steadfast dedication to justice in all its forms, CAASTLC remains at the forefront, tirelessly championing economic and family empowerment.
The funds raised through our “Doors of Opportunity” galas have been instrumental in fueling critical initiatives spanning emergency food assistance, transportation aid, shelter for victims of domestic abuse, vocational training, and essential services for individuals excluded from existing programs. These initiatives are beacons of hope for those navigating the treacherous waters of poverty and deprivation.
We are proud to report significant strides in expanding our strategic initiatives, particularly in mental health counseling services, employment assistance, and financial education tailored to the emerging youth and under-served low to moderate-income adults of St. Louis County. Moreover, we are thrilled to share our success in extending our services to embrace the burgeoning immigrant families who seek CAASTLC‘s unwavering support.
Your support is paramount in our quest to make a profound and lasting impact. It is never too early to stand as an underwriter, sponsor, or donor for our programs or our annual gala. Irrespective of the magnitude of your contribution, you will be celebrated as a cherished friend of CAASTLC.
We eagerly anticipate the opportunity to collaborate and celebrate with you! For any queries or further information, please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly or contact Tricia Bell, our Development Director, at 314-446-4430 or DoorsofOpportunity@caastlc.org.
Warm Regards,
