Local Transit Leaders with Proclamation
In recognition of Transit Driver Appreciation Day, local transit leaders worked with St. Clair County Board Chairman Mark Kern to proclaim Tuesday, March 18, 2025, as “Metro Operator Appreciation Day.” A proclamation was presented to local transit operators in appreciation of their tireless service in helping residents get where they need to go by way of MetroLink, MetroBus, Alternative Transportation Service (ATS) and flexible, on-demand, shared ride services through the St. Clair County Transit District (SCCTD) Flyer.

Surrounded by local transit operators, transit leaders – including representatives from St. Clair County Transit District, Metro Transit, Alternative Transportation Service (ATS) and St. Clair County – presented a proclamation declaring Tuesday, March 18, 2025, as “Metro Operator Appreciation Day” in St. Clair County, Ill. This was done in recognition of the tireless efforts operators make to get area residents where they need to go.
