Discover how “White George” went from promoting white supremacy on TikTok to becoming a vocal advocate for HBCUs and social justice.

White George, a man born and raised in a small town in Arkansas, is going viral on TikTok for his heartfelt advocacy for Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and his dedication to sharing significant Black History facts. His transformation from a former racist, drug addict, convicted felon, and ex-con to an advocate for racial equality and education is both inspiring and profound.

Raised in an environment steeped in racism, George’s early years were marked by bigotry and hatred towards Black Americans. However, his life took a pivotal turn during his mid-30s while serving time in prison. It was there that he met Larry, a Black man who persistently questioned George’s racist beliefs. Through tough conversations and soul-searching, George began to recognize the flaws in his ideology. This awakening led to an unexpected friendship with Larry, which became the catalyst for George’s transformation.

Now 52, George reflects on his past with a sense of regret but also with a determination to make amends. He attributes his change to a profound realization: he was simply tired of being an “asshole.” This epiphany drove him to challenge racist jokes and confront individuals who perpetuated such behavior. His newfound perspective is guided by the belief that everyone must stand accountable before God one day.

George’s passion for Black American history became the foundation of his journey towards advocacy. His initial foray into sharing Black History facts on TikTok quickly evolved into a deep appreciation for HBCUs. Intrigued by the educational opportunities these institutions provide, George began visiting campuses, interacting with faculty, students, and alumni. He describes walking the campuses as an eye-opening experience that introduced him to a vibrant and dynamic world.

The energy and spirit he encountered at HBCUs played a significant role in healing his racist soul. George’s interactions with Black America not only broadened his understanding but also solidified his commitment to anti-racism. Today, he continues to visit HBCUs and uses his platform to educate others on the importance of being anti-racist.

White George’s journey is a nod to the power of personal transformation and the impact of genuine human connections. His story encourages others to challenge their own prejudices and embrace a more inclusive and equitable society.
