FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

The NABB 3rd Pan-African Black Business Summit Marks the 125th Quasquicentennial National Black Business Conference of the National Business League

Tuskegee, AL – November 13, 2024 – The National Alliance for Black Business (NABB) is proud to announce the appointment of Dr. Djibril Diallo, Dr. Georgette Fraser-Moore, and Curtis Smith, Jr. as National Co-Chairs for the upcoming 3rd Annual Pan-African Black Business Summit. This flagship event, held as part of the National Business League’s 125th National Black Business Conference, will take place from August 20-23, 2025, at the Hilton Atlanta Hotel in Atlanta, GA.

Esteemed leaders Dr. Diallo, Dr. Fraser-Moore of the National Business League, and Curtis Smith, Jr. of the National Black Chamber of Commerce will guide the National Pan-African Black Business Summit Committee. This team will commence its planning sessions on Friday, November 15, 2024, during the 3rd Annual Pan-African Black Business Retreat, hosted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington, D.C. The retreat will be a one-day Fly-In or virtual event from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm EST.

“We are delighted to welcome Dr. Djibril Diallo, Dr. Georgette Fraser-Moore, and Curtis Smith, Jr. as Co-Chairs,” said Johnny Ford, Founder, The World Conferance of Mayors. “Their combined global entrepreneurial insights and leadership will be invaluable to this initiative. Their skills and networks will be key in achieving the committee’s objectives and ensuring the success of our conference.”

As Co-Chairs, Dr. Diallo, Dr. Fraser-Moore, and Mr. Smith will be visible leaders in the planning and execution of the 2025 summit, participating in bi-weekly sessions with the Executive Committee and National Committee, and helping to drive the overall campaign.

Dr. Djibril Diallo, upon accepting the appointment, shared, “I am deeply honored to accept this role. This appointment not only reflects a commitment to empowering Black businesses but also aligns with ARDN’s mission to support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals across Africa and the Diaspora.” He added, “Through initiatives like the Red Card campaign against discrimination and violence toward women and girls, we aim to uplift communities and foster equality for all.”

“I’m honored to co-chair this historic summit, where purpose, passion, and impact converge. This is more than a celebration—it’s a powerful platform to unite the global Black business community, driving innovation, fostering economic empowerment, and creating transformative change. Together, we’re shaping a future that not only honors our legacy but builds a thriving, sustainable ecosystem for generations to come.”

– Dr. Georgette Fraser-Moore

“I am honored and humbled by this appointment. I am excited to connect the African diaspora back to the continent and vise versa. We look forward to all the opportunities this partnership can bring.”

– Curtis Smith

The previous summit welcomed representatives from over 32 Pan-African countries and notable guests, including President Joseph Boakai of Liberia. Featuring sessions, workshops, and networking opportunities, it was held in partnership with USAID, Prosper Africa, the U.S. Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration, and the African Union.

Celebrating 125 years since its founding by Booker T. Washington, the National Business League remains committed to supporting Black business and entrepreneurship. The 2025 conference and summit aim to create a transformative impact on the Black business community, promoting growth, collaboration, and innovation.

The Honorable Johnny Ford added, “We are thrilled to have Dr. Diallo, Dr. Fraser-Moore, and Mr. Smith as Co-Chairs and look forward to working together to make this 125th National Black Business Conference and Pan-African Black Business Summit a landmark event.”
