2025 marks a bold new chapter for The Empowerment Network as it expands its support to all cancer survivors while launching new programs and resources.

As The Empowerment Network (TEN) exits 2024, a year that started with the theme of “Aligning our hearts with our actions while appreciating the beauty of life as prostate cancer survivors”, God continues to bless us to find the courage to overcome the many challenges this disease presented in the lives of our members throughout the past year.

By staying focused and committed to our goals we experienced an exceptional year. “For the universe rewards the brave”. True bravery must become the essence ofbthose surviving and battling this disease.

I’m reminded of a quote by actress Phylicia Rashad, “Your measure of excellence is judged by your commitment to your work.” Being committed and striving for excellence is the action plan this cancer organization puts forth each year through the many programs and projects that we provide. We plan to put a special emphasis on improving the quality of all programs. We never lost sight of our mission while balancing what it takes to keep this 501-C3 flourishing.

Our allegiance is steadfast as TEN looks forward to 2025. This coming year will be filled with new opportunities, exciting possibilities, and a brave future that remains unwritten and ready to be shaped.

TEN will officially add the concept of supporting victims all forms of cancer at its flagship support group meetings. This concept is not new to our organization.

We’ve supported men and families with all types of cancer for years, never turning away those in need of our help or assistance. This year we’ll be making a bold announcement and developing a marketing plan so that we can support more families.

Although our major focus and mission is still prostate cancer, we see a need for continuous growth. We will be the catalyst for emotional healing in the lives of those afflicted with this diabolical demon (cancer).

I’m equally excited about our new Caregiver’s Support Group and Live Strong Program administered by the YMCA.

My new book, “You’re Still A Man” will be released in 2025 and also be an addition to our After Surgery Kits. This survival guide addresses the emotional state of a man as he faces a prostate diagnosis.

Our successes and accomplishments would not have been possible without the help, aid, and donations from our survivors, supporters, and sponsors.

Thank you for believing in this organization and its mission.

Yes, with the help of God, the future of this organization is bright.

Happy New Year!
