Exciting Pre-Summer Events at St. Louis Public Library – Keep Kids Entertained & Safe!

Get ready for pre-summer with exciting events at St. Louis Public Library this week! Keep your kids entertained and healthy while enjoying community programs.

Summer is just around the corner, but St. Louis Public Library has you covered with a variety of events happening this week. These activities are designed to make it easier to keep your kids healthy and entertained.

Remember to ensure your library card is current and to contact each event location in advance to confirm availability. For your child’s safety, always be present with them during these events.

The Eye Thrive mobile vision clinic will offer free eye exams and glasses for children age 4-18. Eye exams will be administered starting at 9:00 AM each day. Capacity is limited. Exams will be scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis until all spots are filled.

Appointments accepted until 11am. Please plan to arrive early to ensure your spot. All services are provided free of charge. A parental consent form must be completed prior to the eye exam.

Tuesday, May 27, 2025 (4:30 PM – 7:30 PM)

Julia Davis Library is offering free emergency diaper distribution Tuesdays from 4:30-7:30 PM in the Children’s Area. 

  • We offer diapers in sizes Newborn-6 and training pants in sizes 2T-4T. 
  • You may only request diapers once per month, for children in your immediate household.
  • You will be asked for a library card, driver’s license or other form of ID.

    While supplies last. This program is intended for those at or below 200% of the federal poverty level.
