The Historic Prince Hall Shriners, officially known as Ancient Egyptian Arabic Order Nobles Mystic Shrine of North and South America and Its Jurisdictions kicked off its Parade in St Louis. It was located downtown, on Wednesday, August 17th from 11 am till 2 pm.

People came out in droves and flooded the streets of Market, Tucker, and 8th and Pine to witness this extravagant parade. It felt good to see our African American people come out to support this event.

There was marching in the street as bands played instruments to keep the spectators dancing and grooving. There were many great surprises such as the Steppers, who performed and gave the audience a fantastic show along with the Shriners who put on a driving spectacle in the go-carts.

There were clowns, mini cars, great music, and much much more. The only thing that I wish is that the parade would have taken place at a later time because a lot of people were at work during the time of the parade. But overall, I thoroughly enjoyed myself and look forward to the next one.
