Learn about the efforts to raise awareness and support for breast cancer within Black communities during Breast Cancer Awareness Month in 2024.

Zeta Phi Beta, Sorority, Inc. Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and this year, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, along with its chapters and auxiliary groups, are rallying together to raise awareness and support for the fight against breast cancer. Partnering with the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer initiative, Zeta Phi Beta is committed to making a significant impact through service and donations aimed at finding a cure.

Breast cancer remains an alarming health issue, with nearly 300,000 women expected to be diagnosed this year alone. Statistically, one in eight women in America will face this disease in their lifetime. While progress has been made over the years, we recognize that awareness alone is not enough to support those battling breast cancer.

For black and brown communities, the disparity in healthcare resources and research has been a longstanding issue. Historically, medical research and healthcare services have often overlooked these communities, leading to inadequate representation and support. It is crucial now, more than ever, to bridge this gap and ensure that everyone has equal access to the care and research they deserve.

Join the Movement

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, is calling on all members and supporters to join the movement and contribute to this important cause. By participating in local Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walks, you can help raise essential funds and awareness. To find a local team and join the cause, visit Making Strides Walk.

Show Your Support

In addition to participating in walks, Zeta Phi Beta encourages everyone to share their efforts on social media. Use hashtags like #FinerWomen, #Sisterhood, #Service, #zphib, #zetaphibeta, #zphib1920, and #MoreThanBCAM to showcase your involvement and inspire others to join the fight against breast cancer. Don’t forget to tag Zeta Phi Beta in your photos to highlight the collective efforts of our community.

Every Action Counts

Whether it’s through walking, donating, or spreading the word, every action counts in the battle against breast cancer. Together, we can make a difference and support those who need it most. By uniting as a community, we uphold the principles of sisterhood and service that define Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated.

This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, let’s come together to support the cause, raise awareness, and work towards a future where no one has to face breast cancer alone. Join us in this crucial fight and make a lasting impact today.
