Free Substance Use Disorder Education and NARCAN Training for Men: A Vital Event for Saint Louis To Help Save Lives From Opioid Overdose

Learn how to save lives from opioid overdose with free substance use disorder education and Narcan training in Saint Louis for men.

Understanding Stroke Awareness Month – Recognizing the Signs of Stroke 

(St. Louis, MO, July 16, 2024) Dr. Fredrick Echols, a public health expert, Obama Foundation Global Leader, CEO, and Founder of Population and Social Justice Consulting, LLC, along with Andre Holman, a community leader, CEO, and Founder of the AHTV! Network will host the FREE life-changing event Substance Use Disorder Education and NARCAN Training for Men: A Vital Event For St. Louis on Saturday, August 10, at AH TV! Studio, 3126 Olive Street, St. Louis, MO. For more information and to register for the free event, visit Eventbrite. 

This event aims to empower men in the St. Louis Metropolitan area and raise awareness about substance use disorder. Attendees will receive free training and resources to help save lives from opioid overdoses. Lunch will be provided.

Dr. Echols emphasizes the importance of this initiative, “We are committed to addressing substance use disorder among men in our community. By providing education and resources, we aim to empower men to make a positive impact and potentially save lives.”

This event will feature practical sessions to equip attendees with the knowledge and skills to recognize and respond to opioid overdoses. Additionally, every attendee will be provided Narcan and other valuable resources to share with their family and friends. These resources will support their efforts to educate others about the risks of substance use disorder and aid in the recovery of those battling substance use issues.

Andre Holman adds, “Education and awareness are key to tackling substance use disorder in our community. This event is an opportunity for men to come together, learn, and support each other in addressing this issue.”
