Pre-K teachers in Missouri can enhance their skills at no cost! The St. Louis Pre-K Cooperative and AppleTree Institute are offering free training for educators and school leaders. Sign up today!

ST. LOUIS (March 17, 2025) – Pre-K teachers across Missouri have a new chance to improve their teaching skills—at no cost! The St. Louis Pre-K Cooperative, an initiative of The Opportunity Trust, is teaming up with AppleTree Institute to offer free training for pre-K teachers and school leaders.
This training, funded by the Charter Schools Program (CSP), will give teachers practical ways to make learning fun and engaging. Educators will learn how to help young children think critically, solve problems, and get ready for success in school. The training will also prepare teachers for the Pre-K Outcomes Framework (PKOF), which helps guide high-quality early childhood education.
“Good early learning experiences set the stage for a child’s future success,” said Dr. Samantha March, Associate Partner at The Opportunity Trust. “This training will give teachers the tools they need to create exciting, student-centered classrooms where kids can think and learn in deeper ways.”
The workshops in March will focus on preparing teachers for PKOF and using teaching methods that build strong thinking skills in young children. AppleTree Institute, a national leader in early childhood education, will lead the sessions and share proven strategies that teachers can use right away in their classrooms.
Teachers and leaders in Missouri public pre-K programs are encouraged to sign up and take advantage of this free opportunity to improve their skills and make a lasting impact on their students.
