Dear St. Louis,
Last Monday, on November 18, 2024, Committee of the Whole on subsidized child care concludes the series of hearings the Board of Aldermen committed to holding on the most popular ideas supported by St. Louis residents! Thank you to all those who have tuned in, shown up to testify, or reached out to your alderperson!
Last night we also launched a new phase of community engagement: Board Bill Feedback! Tell us what you like (or don’t like) about the plans for spending the Rams Settlement!
Check it out on the St. Louis Rams Settlement Portal now: https://stlouis.govocal.com
Any board bills related to the spending of the Rams Settlement will be posted here for community review and feedback. Take this opportunity to read the legislation and to share your thoughts! Any feedback will be delivered to the sponsors of each board bill.
Up first: Board Bill 131
On November 15, 2024, Alderwoman Pamela Boyd introduced Board Bill 131. This bill authorizes the use of a portion of the Rams funds for reinvestment in downtown and disinvested neighborhoods in line with the proposal submitted by Greater St. Louis Inc. This bill is co-sponsored by Alderwoman Keys, Alderman Oldenburg, and Alderwoman Spencer.
Share your feedback and questions on this bill by Sunday, December 1st. We will share a report of your feedback in the next phase before offering a comment period on another plan for spending the Rams Settlement.
You have the option to tag your comment with one of the following descriptions:
- Endorsement – You approve of an element or feature of the legislation.
- Suggestion – You have changes you would like to recommend.
- Concern – You see problems that need to be addressed.
- Question – You aren’t sure about what something means or how it would work.
We look forward to your feedback!
Sincerely,
