Dr. Latonia Collins Smith, the trailblazing President of Harris-Stowe State University (HSSU), has earned a prestigious spot on the HBCU Campaign Fund’s list of the “National Ten Most Dominant HBCU Leaders of 2025.” This annual recognition honors individuals whose visionary leadership has significantly advanced Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and their surrounding communities.
Dr. Collins Smith’s tenure as president has been marked by transformative achievements. Under her leadership, HSSU has raised over $3.5 million in scholarships and donations, directly benefiting students and expanding opportunities for academic success.
