We are gathered today at Cardinals Nations Restaurant/Bar in Ballpark Village, downtown St. Louis, offering a stunning view of Busch Stadium. However, our focus is not just the scenery. We are here with pastors, civic leaders, the Red Cross, and members of the Heartland St. Louis Black Chambers of Commerce. Neighbors, businesses, and volunteers unite under the Heartland Recovery Task Force to rebuild lives after the devastating May 16 tornado.
The purpose of this symposium is to discuss the millions of dollars being contributed for tornado disaster relief. Neighbors, businesses, and volunteers unite under the Heartland Recovery Task Force to rebuild lives after the devastating May 16 tornado. Marvin J. Steele, President of the Chambers, introduces several distinguished guests, including leaders from the American Red Cross.
Marvin emphasized the importance of everyone working together to ensure that the incoming funds reach those in need. No stone should be left unturned when helping those who have lost everything.
Smyther Fallen of the American Red Cross is among the key leaders discussing the significance of the “Upper” South area of St. Louis and the importance of maintaining high standards of response and support. This commitment is why disaster funders are dedicated to ensuring victims are well-supported and accounted for.
Marvin also introduced other speakers, including Trevor Barnes Jr., Pastor of Northside Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Pastor Barnes reassured everyone that the church will be actively involved—hands-on in volunteering, providing support, and caring for those affected, even beyond the relief efforts.
This event took place at Ballpark Village, at Cardinals Restaurant and Bar, and was well attended by members of the Heartland St. Louis Black Chambers of Commerce. A special shout-out to President Marvin Steele, who continually finds ways to unite and strengthen our community.
