As we approach this time of year, Argus St. Louis Newspaper online continues its focus on charitable efforts. This season, we turn our attention to the St. Louis Health Equipment Lending Program and their dedication to serving the community.

The St. Louis Health Equipment Lending Program (STLHELP) is a local charity that provides free, refurbished home medical equipment to people of all ages, including senior citizens, primary school age children and toddlers in the greater St. Louis region.
Helping Forgotten Children
Riverview Gardens School District’s Nurse Toby Arman believes in helping little children. Paola, of North County, was born with spina bifida. She was, until the last couple months, still crawling, unable to walk, and had never been to school, at age seven. Nurse Toby was determined to help her. Paola required a pediatric wheelchair, but it proved at first to be a challenge for Toby to find one.
Mission
Neighbor to neighbor, providing free recycled home medical equipment, sharing healing, happiness and independence, while preserving the environment. The St. Louis Health Equipment Lending Program is a nonprofit, 501(C)(3) that relies on community support.
