VBUSA Alliance is setting a new standard for veteran health by focusing on empowerment, community, and lasting wellness.

VBUSA Alliance: Transforming Veteran Health Through Empowerment and Community

Since its inception in 2004, VBUSA Alliance (formerly Veterans Benefits USA) has been committed to improving the lives of veterans, starting with navigating the complex benefits system. But after two decades of working on the frontlines, the organization realized there was a greater challenge to tackle. Many veterans face a healthcare system that prioritizes symptom treatment over prevention and holistic healing.

Today, VBUSA Alliance is leading the charge to redefine veteran wellness through empowerment, education, and community-building initiatives. With their Strong By Nature movement, they are working to break the mold of traditional healthcare and help veterans truly heal.

Building a New Paradigm for Veteran Wellness

“We’re not anti-medicine. We’re pro-veteran, and that means offering every tool for healing,” says Dr. Leroy Scott, Jr., MD, MPH. This philosophy drives VBUSA Alliance’s programs and resources, which focus on preventative care, holistic healing, and actionable strategies to improve health outcomes.

One of VBUSA’s core resources is The Warrior’s Blueprint, a free guide aimed at closing the gap between diagnosis and actual healing. This resource educates veterans on safe, natural, and effective self-care strategies, focusing on:

Reducing dependence on prescription medications

Preventing chronic illnesses through improved nutrition, movement, and mental health practices

Exploring ancestral and holistic healing methods

This guide serves as an essential roadmap for veterans who seek to regain control of their health and break free from outdated healthcare models.

Immersive Wellness Experiences for Veterans

VBUSA Alliance goes beyond offering written resources; they create opportunities for real-life healing and connection. Beginning in 2026, VBUSA Alliance will host The Warrior’s Self Care Villages, a multi-city pop-up tour designed to empower veterans through wellness education and care. These events will include:

Free health screenings

Movement therapy sessions

Herbal medicine workshops

Cannabis literacy education

Community-building experiences

The program culminates with an immersive retreat in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Veterans will have the chance to engage in tropical plant medicine workshops, beachside movement therapy, and culturally-rooted healing practices. This serene international setting provides veterans a unique space to cultivate health while building bonds with others on similar journeys.

Strong By Nature A Holistic and Community-Centered Movement

The Strong By Nature movement is VBUSA Alliance’s rallying call to veterans and supporters everywhere. It aims to challenge the current healthcare paradigm by demonstrating the power of proactive care and natural healing. This initiative gives veterans the tools they need to make informed decisions about their health while fostering a sense of belonging and collaboration.

To further unite their community, VBUSA Alliance launched the 7-Day Reset Challenge. This initiative introduces veterans to essential self-care practices and provides practical steps for improving wellness in just one week.

Creating a Brighter Future

VBUSA Alliance is dedicated to giving veterans not just better healthcare outcomes but a better quality of life. By offering innovative programs, expert-curated resources, and community support, they are proving that healing goes beyond clinics and waiting rooms.

Veterans deserve a system that addresses root causes, recognizes the power of prevention, and promotes holistic wellness. With VBUSA Alliance leading the way, the future of veteran healthcare is not just about survival but thriving.

Take the first step towards healing today. Explore VBUSA Alliance’s resources and become part of a movement that empowers veterans to reclaim their health and rebuild their lives.
