Experience the vibrant fusion of African and Caribbean cultures at Jerk X Jollof, a talent showcase celebrating diversity and influence.

Originated in Ann Arbor and established in Detroit, Michigan in 2016, Jerk X Jollof is committed to developing and nourishing a connection between African/Caribbean talent, culture and influence within and beyond the United States. As African and Caribbean culture gains prominence in American pop culture, Jerk X Jollof continues to rise.

The brand has curated Jerk X Jollof experiences at national conferences including the National Society of Black Engineers and the Annual Medical Education Conference. Jerk X Jollof hosts a signature pool party event called Island Hours. The brand has provided promotional support for legendary African and Caribbean acts such as Seun Kuti, DJ Lag, Sister Nancy and Chronixx for their Detroit concert dates. Nigerian afrobeats artist Mr. Eazi also partnered with the brand to present shows in Detroit and Toronto.

“The mission of the brand is simple: to create a space for everyone to celebrate Afro-Caribbean culture with us. Jerk X Jollof has welcomed thousands of attendees in Detroit and other major cities, including Los Angeles, Toronto, Philadelphia and Miami Art Basel.”

Jerk X Jollof attendees are given the opportunity to purchase a plate of Jollof rice, jerk chicken, fried plantains and steamed vegetables – a flavorful excursion that the Jerk X Jollof team regards as a right of passage. Through collaborating with Afro-Caribbean chefs, Jerk X Jollof has also given scholarships to STEM-focused, minority high-school and undergraduate students.

Jerk X Jollof blends the essence of Afro-Caribbean culture, cuisine and nightlife to create unforgettable moments in cities all around the world. From the high-energy sounds of resident Nigerian tastemaker DJ Blakito to the vibrantly viral dance moves, everyone leaves Jerk X Jollof anticipating the next one.

With team members of Ghanaian, Nigerian and Jamaican descent, the mission of the brand is simple: to create space for everyone to celebrate Afro-Caribbean culture with us. Jerk X Jollof has welcomed thousands of attendees in Detroit and other major cities, including Los Angeles, Toronto, Philadelphia, Chicago, and Miami Art Basel. Jerk X Jollof is positioned to ascend Afro-Caribbean culture to its ultimate heights.
