United Way of Greater St. Louis and KSDK 5 On Your Side are partnering together on outreach and awareness efforts to help our region during tornado and storm recovery.

Starting Monday, May 19th KSDK 5 On Your Side will run a day long awareness campaign focused on informing viewers how to receive help by connecting them to services and nonprofits, find related volunteer efforts as they are released to the community, and how to donate to a recovery fund to assist those who need support via helpingpeople.org/stormrelief.
“Our hearts go out to all of our affected neighbors. Friday’s storms were simply devastating and we want to help ensure no one is facing resulting impacts alone. Our 211 Helpline remains available 24/7 to assist with navigating to resources and services. Volunteers can go to stlvolunteer.org for ways they can register to get involved and help. Donations can be made at helpingpeople.org. United Way will continue collaborating closely with COAD and disaster management organizations to help our community rebuild and recover,” Michelle Tucker, President & CEO, United Way of Greater St. Louis.
“Following Friday’s devastating tornado, KSDK 5 On Your Side is mobilizing support for those most affected. We are proud to partner with the United Way of Greater St. Louis for this all-day fundraising blitz, beginning with ‘Today in St. Louis’ at 4am. Through this partnership, we can ensure every dollar remains in our local community to help those in need,” Alicia Fronckiewicz Elsner , President & General Manager, KSDK 5 On Your Side.
