We should always give flowers to great people while they are living. So I would love to do that for a woman who has made a major impact throughout the world and honor “Lynda Dorman.”

Lynda Dorman

Lynda brings 29 years of philanthropy and nonprofit executive leadership experience in implementing extensive fundraising and community-based programs, national marketing, and communications strategies.

Lynda has built numerous operations and financial capacities for organizations, helping them deliver on their mission and vision. Raised in Washington D.C, Lynda graduated from the University of Maryland College where she earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and a Master’s Degree in International Management.

She helped the BET Network flourish while being the Vice President and Executive Director from 2005-2008. She is currently the Board Member, Chair-Communications and Technology Committee for The National Coalition of 100 Black Women Inc.

Lynda has been a true advocate for the underserved population. She has led development teams that achieved millions in donated revenue for important causes such as mental health, education, housing, disaster relief, and child welfare.

In 2013 Lynda was honored and received The “Making A Difference Award” that was presented by Minority Enterprise Advocate which honors the Top 25 most influential women in Business, She is also the founder and principal consultant for The Dorman Group LLC (TDG), a recognized minority business enterprise providing consultancy in supplier diversity, workforce development, corporate social responsibility, strategic planning, and nonprofit management and organizational development.

When viewing how Lynda’s companies continue to blossom, In her own words, she states “Our values are deeply rooted in our faith and the belief that being intentional, demonstrating integrity, and creating our best work will result in exceeding our client’s expectation without comprising the process.  We value team members and partners and seek to facilitate their becoming more self-aware, empowered to do their best work, and inspired to not shrink from excellence.”
