On, Tuesday, February 25, Mayor Jones, along with the Community Development Administration (CDA), shared a new, interactive Neighborhood Transformation Investment Map to highlight over $250 million of investment in the City’s Economic Justice Action Plan [www.economicjusticestl.org] (EJAP) over the last four years. The map offers residents a transparent look at these efforts, which include substantial progress in housing, business development, and transportation projects. Residents can now easily follow the positive changes happening in their communities.

“Under my administration, the City of St. Louis is investing in every neighborhood and community,” said Mayor Tishaura O. Jones. “This map makes every project, every allocation, and every impact accessible. We remain dedicated to being responsible stewards of public funds and committed to our unwavering belief that every resident deserves to see exactly how their tax dollars are working to build a stronger, more equitable St. Louis.”

The diverse initiatives shown in this new tool have leveraged over $1 billion in privately funded development. Combined with over $300M committed towards transportation infrastructure upgrades in St. Louis between 2024 and 2027, these investments are growing a regenerative ecosystem designed to reverse the city’s population loss.

“Over the past four years our team has worked hand in hand with individuals, neighborhood groups, non-profits, developers, and public partners to dramatically expand and diversify CDA’s programs,” said Nahuel Fefer, Executive Director of the Community Development Administration. “Though necessarily incomplete, this map embodies our commitment to transparency, and offers a glimpse at how federal and local funds are transforming our city. We invite residents to use this interactive tool to learn more about the City’s economic justice initiatives and join us in building a more equitable and sustainable city.”

Investments shown in the map include housing, vacancy, community, childcare, transportation, and more. The map does not show every single investment, but is broad in its coverage.

Residents can access the Neighborhood Transformation Investment Map on the City’s website. The map can be explored by panning and zooming, and the provided legend helps users understand the different types of information displayed. The map offers features to filter and sort data, allowing users to focus on specific wards, neighborhoods, organizations, or project types.
