NEOSHO, Mo. (KOAM) — Tragic news has come to light for the family of MO State Rep Ben Baker.
Overnight he released information that his daughter and son-in-law, missionaries in Haiti, were murdered in gang violence.

Haiti has been in a state of unrest since the 2021 assassination of President Jovenel Moise. The most recent Prime Minister resigned March 11.
The United Nations report in April stated The first quarter of 2024 was the deadliest for Haitians with around 2,500 people killed or injured in gang violence.
“Some of the worst scenarios for Haiti have become realities in recent months and weeks,” warned María Isabel Salvador, Head of the United Nations Integrated Office in Haiti (BINUH), citing gang attacks targeting police stations, prisons, schools, hospitals, and religious sites in Port-au-Prince.
It is unknown who is responsible for the deaths of Davy and Natalie Lloyd however the FBI is offering a reward for one man’s involvement in killing a missionary in 2022.
The State Department is offering a reward of up to $2,000,0000 for information leading to the arrest and/or conviction of Vitel ‘Homme Innocent. It’s alleged he killed one of the nearly 20 missionaries his gang took hostage in 2022. “Our resolve to bring him to account for his alleged crimes will not waver,” the US State Dept says in a release.
