Nonprofit opens three Washington, DC-based dispensaries and plans to launch coffee-infused cannabis product line
WASHINGTON, DC (Feb. 18, 2025) – Nonprofits are always challenged to find ways to generate revenue and The National Hip-Hop Museum (NHHM) has found a viable solution in cannabis.
NHHM now owns and operates three dispensary locations in the nation’s capital: the Lifted Shop, Lifted Lounge and Orbit Shop – all with premium cannabis products, including top-tier flower, edibles, concentrates and accessories.
Setting them apart from other cannabis venues is that NHMM’s locations comprise themed artwork, artifacts and interactive exhibits from the Museum. Product release is anticipated for April, 2025, when licensed medical shops will be the only retailers legally allowed to sell cannabis in Washington, D.C.
