I do not want this story to be about Boston, and Turks University horrendous salute to a great man.I will let the responses do the talking.
However, the statue of him and her in an embrace is a disgrace to a great leader, Dr. Martin Luther King. And anyone with any common regards, should see this as a spotlight opportunity and not a tribute.
I am praying that his children do not get involved in this circus. This is not work of any one of us, reflecting the empowerment and strength that King bestowed upon us.
St. Louis in my opinion has always honored this great leader of activism and pride. We have streets named in his honor, as well as places of businesses that are striving.
A whole neighborhood near Wellston, MO is seeing great promise due to his name alone. In addition to non-profit leaders using tools from his speeches to motivate and initiate changes in urban plight.
St. Louis Honors the Legacy of
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
St. Louis has a long, storied history of activism and working to uphold equity. As we honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s life, legacy and leadership during the U.S. civil rights movement, there are a number of opportunities to take part in celebrations in our area.
