Join us on June 1st at 1:30 p.m. for a Zoom forum where people with disabilities will share their experiences and challenges with voting barriers.
At Paraquad, we’re committed to ensuring that EVERY person with a disability registers to vote and makes their voices heard in EVERY election. To help do our part to make this a reality, we’re excited to host a panel discussion and public Speak Out on June 1 from 1-2:30 p.m. by Zoom
Individuals with a variety of disabilities will have the opportunity to share their experiences voting in previous elections. The panel includes:
Diane Wieland
Datyn Sodsaikitch
Guan Hollis
Abria Edwards
Stephanie McDowell
The directors of the St. Louis City and St. Louis County boards of elections have agreed to attend to learn more about our community’s unique challenges and perspectives around elections, registering to vote, and casting a ballot. We’ll take comments from the audience for up to two minutes.
Among those who are registered to attend are Joe Palm, Director of Regions 2 and 7, of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
The media is also welcome to attend. Register here to receive a Zoom link: https://paraquad.org/public-policy-advocacy/voting-rights.
