This is my personal account of my evening as a guest of Sister Denise Muhammad. Brother Talibdin El Amin will have a professional account of this wonderful evening in The Argus STL Newspaper online and at shared sites in the St. Louis Area.

I’m sure the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan would be delighted and proud to see those Believers working 24/7 to keep the Teachings of the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad alive. Student Minister Donald Muhammad once again invited Student Minister Ishmael Muhammad to deliver the 30th Muhammad Mosque #28 Saviours’ Day Awards Banquet as the keynote speaker.

The Awards Banquet was a double bang for me because, I have worked for the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan and Dr. Eugene Mitchell who was a prominent surgeon and civicl rights leader and also the owner and publisher of The Argus STL Newspaper. Dr. Mitchell became one of the biggest supporters of the Minister and converted to Islam which prolonged his life.

Covering the Awards Banquet was a very personal walk down memory lane for me because on November 18, 1978, I committed myself, in the home of Minister Louis Farrakhan to assist him in the rebuilding of the Nation of Islam.

Later I became the first in a line of photographers for The Final Call Newspaper. I also served as the public relations person to Brother Akbar Muhammad as we pull together the frame work for introducting the Minister to the St. Louis area. This has given me a unique opportunity to see how the Nation has evolved in East St. Louis and St. Louis.

St. Louis WOKE UP for a few years because The Nation of Islam was more than I’m Black and I’m Proud. The Nation was about, Get Up and Do forYourself. Minister Farrakhan gained the support of every professional sector needed to sustain a Nation. Congratulations to Student Minister Ishmael Muhammad,

Student Minister Donald Muhammad and all the Awardees of 30th Muhammad Mosque #28 Saviours’ Day Awards!
