If you know of anyone in the St. Louis area that may need assistance with their heating and cooling bill. Then now is the time to contact the local agencies like LIHEAP, to sign up to get help. We know all too well how using air conditioning over the long summer days can run up the cost of staying cool.
And who wants to be without heat during the brutal winter days, because you just can’t afford to keep up the rising cost of staying warm. Especially, those who are elderly or disabled, and are on fixed incomes. But please note, pay what you can to avoid disconnection, or don’t wait until it is too late to ask for assistance.

The Department of Social Services, Office of Workforce and Community Initiatives has completed a draft of the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) State Plan, which is now available for viewing at the following web address:
