St. Louis Native Cameron Fuller of Tyler Perry’s Hit TV Show “Zatima” Premiering His Debut Film “Runaway” on Human Trafficking

look at the rising career of St. Louis native, Cameron Fuller, known for his role on Tyler Perry’s hit TV show “Zatima” and now making his directorial debut with the film “Runaway” focused on human trafficking.

A St. Louis native, Actor/ Producer Cameron Fuller, is coming to the GOTV Rally to roll out his short film “Runaway.” The film premiered at the prestigious Los Angeles International Short Film Festival on July 23, 2024, and was selected as one of the 500 premieres out of 10,000 submissions to the festival. This film will bring awareness to the national epidemic of human trafficking. 

The free event will be held on August 4th at Rouge Bistro, 3037 Olive Street, St. Louis, MO 63103, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. Join us at the GOTV Rally to get fired up, motivated, and ready to make a difference in the upcoming election! For more information on the event, please visit Eventbrite. 

This in-person event will feature celebrity guest speakers, live performances, and opportunities to connect with fellow voters. The showing of the film “Runaway” will delve into the political hot-button topic of human trafficking in the United States, shedding light on its insidious nature and far-reaching impact on the St. Louis community. The film aims to enlighten and inform through powerful storytelling and compelling narratives, raising awareness and prompting crucial discussions about its effects and the urgent need for action. 

According to the National Human Trafficking Hotline, Missouri has received 6,166 signals since its inception, leading to the identification of 1,524 cases of human trafficking. These cases have uncovered a total of 3,160 victims, highlighting the pervasive and urgent nature of this issue within the state. 

“I am committed to telling stories about tragedies in the human experience,” said Cameron Fuller, CEO and Founder of Starving Artist Productions. 

About Cameron Fuller 

Cameron Fuller is a multi-talented actor and Executive Producer. He holds a bachelor’s degree in broadcast media production from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, where he was also a standout football player and an alumnus of Ladue High School. Cameron produced the action drama short film Runaway, which delves into the harrowing realities of human trafficking in the United States, shedding light on a dark and often overlooked issue. His breakthrough in the industry came with his role as the stand-in for Actor Denzel Washington in the highly acclaimed remake of The Magnificent Seven. This pivotal experience provided him with invaluable exposure and set the stage for his continued success and influence in the film industry. Additionally, he has starred in several fan-favorite shows such as “Shameless,” “Lethal Weapon,” and “Zatima,” a spin-off of the highly-rated Tyler Perry dramedy “Sistas.”
