Kansas City Chiefs at Philadelphia Eagles (Chiefs -1.5) – The Kansas City Chiefs finished the regular season with a record of 15-2. They went 9-0 to start the season before losing to the Buffalo Bills. Then, the Chiefs went back to their winning ways before losing their second game of the season to the Denver Broncos. The Broncos beat them 38-0 in their final regular season game. The Chiefs rested their key players to get ready for the postseason. Kansas City went on to play the Houston Texans in the Divisional Round and beat them 23-14.
In the Conference Championship game, they beat a familiar foe. They beat the Bills 32-29. These teams have history and that game added to that legacy. Now, they have another obstacle ahead of them before they (potentially) win their next championship. When it comes to the Chiefs, the key to their success will be a strong performance from Mahomes. However, there are other players to keep an eye on such as Travis Kelce, Xavier Worthy, Chris Jones and more.
For the Eagles, they finished the regular season with a record of 14-3. They went on a 10-game winning streak midway through the season before losing to the Washington Commanders. They finished the season with wins over the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Giants before facing the Green Bay Packers in their Wild Card game. They beat Green Bay, beat the Los Angeles Rams in the next round and after that, they got some revenge and beat the Commanders to punch their ticket to the Super Bowl. Hunt will need to have a good showing, and Saquon Barkley could have a big game that could lead the Eagles to victory.
The stakes are high in the Big Easy. And while it will be a good game, the Chiefs could come away with the victory.
