The Black Agenda Day: Hollywood’s Miguel A. Núñez Jr. to Host Landmark Event Honoring a Year of Impact

Join us as we celebrate the one-year anniversary of the Black Agenda with the official “Black Agenda Day” proclamation by Las Vegas Mayor Shelly Berkley.

The Black Agenda, a movement focused on empowering Black communities through economic investment, political advocacy, and technological innovation, is celebrating its one-year anniversary with a significant event on February 25, 2025.

In recognition of its profound impact, Las Vegas Mayor Shelly Berkley will officially declare February 25th as “Black Agenda Day,” honoring the organization’s accomplishments in economic development, policy influence, and entrepreneurship.

Hosted by Hollywood actor Miguel A. Núñez Jr., the event will gather business leaders, policymakers, and cultural icons for an evening of celebration, reflection, and an ambitious vision for the future.

Mayor Shelly Berkley’s proclamation of February 25th as “Black Agenda Day” recognizes the Black Agenda’s leadership in driving economic and policy change. ” This organization has achieved extraordinary progress in just one year,” said Mayor Berkley. ” Their work is paving the way for equity,opportunity, and lasting impact.”

A Year of Progress & Change

Since its inception in 2024, The Black Agenda has spearheaded transformative initiatives, including:

  • Economic Empowerment: Expanding The Black Unicorn Factory, a $20 billion digital business accelerator that is preparing over 100 Black-owned businesses for success on Wall Street.
  • Investment & Wealth Building: Launching the $500 million Black Business Growth Fund to drive Black entrepreneurship.
  • Community & Cultural Advocacy-Partnering with the NAACP, ACLU and grassroots organizations to advance social justice and economic inclusion.

Miguel A. Núñez Jr. is a renowned American actor, celebrated for his roles in “The Return of the Living Dead” and “Life.” He has also starred in “Juwanna Mann,” “Tour of Duty,” and currently appears on the BET drama “The Family Business” as well as “Sparks.”
