SMilesTV host Stephanie Anthony Miles had a one- on-one conversation with East St. Louis native Mr. Sylvester Donald, Jr., “The Mirror Man” for Morris Day and The Time. Donald, a dancer, vocalist, and percussionist has worked with Moris Day and The Time from 2019-2015, 2021 – present.
In this episode, Donald chats about his love for music, early years, his Christian faith, and much more. He was born and reared in East St. Louis, Illinois, and has been playing music since the age of ten (10); but professionally for twelve (12) years. Sylvester has worked with Sly and the Family Stone, Barry White and the Temptations.
He is currently working with Morris Day & The Time as their vocalist, dancer, and “The Mirror Man.”
Donald encourages individuals who are interested in going into the entertainment industry to have a plan on which to fall back. He said, “Make sure you have a backup plan while pursuing your dreams. Remember, you have to pay your bills while awaiting a break; and, don’t forget that, delay doesn’t mean denial,” he ended.
