Week 4 is underway, as the third came to an end after the Jacksonville Jaguars and Washington Commanders won their Monday matchups. Now it is on to the fourth week, and things are heating up. Let’s take a look at those games.
Dallas Cowboys vs New York Giants ( Cowboys -4.5) – The Dallas Cowboys are right back in action. The Cowboys faced the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, and lost 28-25. The Cowboys are now 1-2 and have a chance to even things up with a win over a fellow NFC East team in New York. The New York Giants had an impressive showing in Cleveland. The Giants defeated the Browns 21-15, after the Browns took an early lead. Malik Nabers, New York’s rookie receiver, had two touchdowns in that game. The Giants are now 1-2, and could build some momentum with another win. However, the Cowboys should take this (if everything goes right).
Prediction: The Cowboys take it
Cincinnati Bengals vs Carolina Panthers (Bengals -4.5) – The Cincinnati Bengals loss on Monday, as the Commanders beat them 38-33. The Bengals are now 0-3 but have been in every game. They lost to the Patriots but only by a touchdown. They nearly beat Kansas City but lost 26-25. The Bengals finally have a chance to get a good win as they take on the Carolina Panthers. The Carolina Panthers are 1-2 so far, with their win coming in their last game. They beat the Las Vegas Raiders 36-22. The win has to feel good, but that feeling may be short-lived. The Bengals have a chance at their first win, and they should have no problem getting it
Prediction: The Bengals take it
New Orleans Saints vs Atlanta Falcons (Falcons -2) – The New Orleans Saints are off to a strong start so far. They started their season off with two big wins, but last week they lost to the Philadelphia Eagles 15-12. The Saints have a slight setback as it was announced that their Pro Bowl center Erik McCoy is out for weeks with a groin injury. The Atlanta Falcons nearly gave Kansas City a scare. The Chiefs beat the Falcons 22-17. After the loss, the Falcons are now 1-2, with their win being the 22-21 win over the Eagles. The Falcons are competing, and Kirk Cousins has done well as their quarterback. This could be a good, possibly close game but the Saints may take it.
Prediction: The Saints win
Jacksonville Jaguars vs Houston Texas (Texans -6) – The Jacksonville Jaguars are searching for their first win, after losing to Miami, Cleveland and Buffalo. This week, they take on a fellow AFC South team. The Houston Texans are 2-1 with their loss being a surprising 34-7 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. C.J. Stroud had a solid showing but threw two interceptions in that game. The Vikings stunned the Texans, but this is a new week. Simply put, this is a game to bounce back from their loss.
Prediction: The Texans take it
Denver Broncos vs New York Jets (Jets -7) – The Denver Broncos have a win under their belt, as they beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 26-7. Denver’s rookie quarterback Bo Nix had a good showing as he threw for 216 yards. On the other side, the New York Jets are on a two-game winning streak. They beat Tennessee in the second week and the Patriots last week. The Jets can keep their streak going, but the matchup between Nix and Aaron Rodgers could get interesting.
Prediction: The Jets win
Minnesota Vikings vs Green Bay Packers (Packers -2.5) – The Minnesota Vikings picked up a nice win over the Texans. The Vikings are now 3-0 and are on top of the NFC North. Sam Darnold has been key in Minnesota’s success, and in their last game, he threw for four touchdowns. The Vikings are rolling, and they will look to keep that going. The Green Bay Packers are on a two-game winning streak. They beat the Titans in their last game, and did so with Malik Willis as their quarterback. Willis had a solid performance as he threw for 202 yards and had a touchdown. Jordan Love is still recovering, but Willis has held his own. The Packers have a chance to give the Vikings their first loss, but the Vikings should take it.
Prediction: The Vikings win
Pittsburgh Steelers vs Indianapolis Colts (Steelers -2) – The Pittsburgh Steelers are 3-0 this season, and they are on top of the AFC North. The Steelers defeated the Los Angeles Chargers 20-10. Justin Fields is doing well in the starting quarterback spot after Russell Wilson (who is injured) initially received that role. Fields is taking care of business, and the Steelers are winning as a result. The Indianapolis Colts are 1-2. They won their first game last week, as they beat the Chicago Bears 21-16. The Colts have a chance to get another win in what will be their second straight home game before taking a brief road trip, but the Steelers will get the win.
Prediction: The Steelers win
Los Angeles Rams vs Chicago Bears (Bears -3) – The Los Angeles Rams are 1-2 and won their most recent game. They beat the San Francisco 49ers 27-24. The Rams are on the road as they take on the Chicago Bears. The Bears are 1-2 and as mentioned, they lost to the Colts in their last game. Their rookie quarterback Caleb Williams threw for 363 yards in that game. He also had two touchdowns and two interceptions. Despite the interceptions, this game showed what Williams can do. Williams and the Bears have a chance to go 2-2 if they beat the Rams.
Prediction: The Bears win
Philadelphia Eagles vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Eagles -2.5) – The Philadelphia Eagles are 2-1. They beat the Saints 15-12 in their last game. Saquon Barkley had a strong showing as he ran for 147 yards and two touchdowns. The Eagles are on the road again this week and take on Tampa Bay. Tampa Bay are 2-1 with their first loss being against the Broncos. Tampa Bay has a chance to recover from that loss, but the Eagles should win.
Prediction: The Eagles win
New England Patriots vs San Francisco 49ers (49ers -10) – The New England Patriots started their season with a win over Cincinnati. Since then, they have lost two straight. Now, they are on the road taking on the 49ers. San Francisco is 1-2 with their only win being against the Jets. Since then, they have lost to the Vikings and the Rams (in a close game). This week’s game is a chance to go 2-2 and they should have no problems doing so.
Prediction: The 49ers win
Washington Commanders vs Arizona Cardinals (Cardinals -3.5) – The Washington Commanders are off to a good start this season. They are 2-1 and are on top of the NFC East. They have picked up back-to-back (good) wins over the Giants and the Bengals. This week, they are on the road as they take on Arizona. The Arizona Cardinals are 1-2. They lost to the Detroit Lions last week, but before that, they beat the Chargers 41-10. Both teams struggled last season, but they have had promising moments this season. This would be a feel good win for either team, and the Cardinals may take it.
Prediction: The Cardinals win.
Kansas City Chiefs vs Los Angeles Chargers (Chiefs -8) – The Kansas City Chiefs are 3-0 to start the season. However, their wins have been fairly close. Regardless, they are still the team to beat and know what it takes to win. They are on the road again this week (after their win over Atlanta) as they take on the Los Angeles Chargers. The Chargers are 2-1. They lost to the Steelers last week but before that they beat the Raiders and the Panthers. The Chargers have a tough task ahead of them. With that said, the Chiefs will win.
Prediction: The Chiefs take it
Cleveland Browns vs Las Vegas Raiders (Raiders -1) – The Cleveland Browns had the lead in their game last week, but they ended up losing to the Giants. Their quarterback Deshaun Watson was sacked eight times in that game. The Browns (and Watson) are still trying to find a rhythm and their upcoming road trip could be a chance to do so. They have three stops with their first being Las Vegas. The Las Vegas Raiders are 1-2. They beat the Ravens in their second game but lost to the Panthers after that. The Raiders are at home and have a chance to win. The Browns are still trying to figure things out, and if they do not come to play this week, the Raiders may win.
Prediction: The Raiders win
Buffalo Bills vs Baltimore Ravens (Ravens -2.5) – The Buffalo Bills are 3-0 this season with wins over the Cardinals, the Dolphins and the Jaguars. The Bills have been impressive thus far, but they take on a strong team in Baltimore. The Baltimore Ravens started the season off on the wrong foot, but they managed to get their first win over the Cowboys. This win could be what Baltimore needed to get back on track, and while this week will be a challenge, they should improve to 2-2 this week.
Prediction: The Ravens win
Tennessee Titans vs Miami Dolphins (Titans -1.5) – The Tennessee Titans are 0-3. They have lost to the Bears, the Jets and the Packers. While the season has not been easy, and under normal circumstances Miami would win, the Packers may have a chance. The Miami Dolphins are navigating playing without Tua Tagovailoa, and now their backup quarterback Skylar Thompson is dealing with an injury. The Dolphins are in a tough space and if there is any moment the Titans can get their first win, this may be their chance.
Prediction: The Titans win
Seattle Seahawks vs Detroit Lions (Lions -4) – The Seattle Seahawks are 3-0 this season and are first in the NFC West. The Seahawks have beat the Broncos, the Patriots and the Dolphins. Now, they head to Detroit to take on the Lions. The Lions are 2-1 with wins over the Rams and Cardinals. The Seahawks have played well to this point, but their streak may come to an end. Detroit, who was a strong home team last season, will give them trouble.
Prediction: The Lions win
