New Developments in the Works
Hotels
The 148-room Home2Suites by Hilton Gateway Center and the 105-room TRU by Hilton Gateway Center are two new hotels slated to open in the first quarter of 2023—each of which will offer more opportunities for top-notch meeting accommodations in the District.
Transportation/Getting Around
Big things are coming to the District in the winter of 2023, especially when it comes to elevating the connectivity and convenience of meeting. The new Gateway Pedestrian Bridge and Trail Project is set to connect the Gateway Center Campus to Downtown College Park, making it easy for attendees to get to and from more meeting hotels, restaurants and entertainment spots.
Entertainment & Eateries
Groups can get ready to paint the town red at Atlanta Printmaker Studio—a new and exciting venue that doubles as an eclectic art studio, slated to open in 2023. The 3,000 square feet of studio space is located in Hapeville, which continues to be a community with a growing arts scene.
Also opening in 2023 during the springtime is Junior’s Pizza. Founded in 2017 as a monthly pop-up, the pizzeria’s second location will serve a variety of iconic pizza styles using high quality ingredients for attendees to grab a slice in between sessions.
