I can’t wait to get my hands on copies of this book, so let’s take a look at the story that help children’s get the understanding of its greatness.

In celebration of Juneteenth, HBCyoU Kidz™, the newest multi-media children’s brand, honors the culture and significance of America’s second Independence Day. Through engaging storytelling and vibrant animation, HBCyoU Kidz™ highlights the history, traditions, and cultural importance of Juneteenth. The inspiring and beautifully illustrated book, Miss Juneteenth, explores the joy of Juneteenth pageants and is available on Amazon, while an animated version can be viewed on YouTube.

Combining lively storytelling with historical authenticity, Miss Juneteenth follows Nicole as she discovers the meaning behind Juneteenth pageants and their cultural significance. This heartfelt and uplifting book aims to help children appreciate themes of freedom, tradition, and community.

Furthermore, an original Juneteenth celebration song, “Happy Juneteenth,” along with an animated version, will premiere on the HBCyoU Kidz™ YouTube channel on June 10, 2025. “Juneteenth is a day of remembrance and celebration,” shares creator Brooke Hart Jones. “I wrote the book and song to help children see the beauty of this holiday and recognize the resilience of the people who lived it.”

Perfect for classroom libraries, family reading time, or community events, Miss Juneteenth serves as a meaningful tool to ignite conversations about justice, history, and cultural pride—timed perfectly for Juneteenth celebrations.
