Empowering men aged 40+ to prioritize health through early prostate cancer detection.

Cahokia Heights, IL – Kappa Alpha Psi® Fraternity, Inc., in collaboration with the Siteman Cancer Center and the Prostate Cancer Community Partnership (PCCP), is proud to announce the kickoff of its groundbreaking initiative: 100 Prostate Cancer Screenings in 100 Days.
The event will take place on Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Kappa House, located at 5101 Lake Drive, Cahokia Heights, IL 62202. This initiative is designed to encourage men aged 40 and older to prioritize their health by undergoing a simple yet potentially life-saving prostate cancer screening.
Prostate cancer is one of the most common cancers among men, but early detection can make all the difference. The screening involves a quick blood test to measure prostate-specific antigen (PSA) levels, which can help identify potential issues early on.
Why This Initiative Matters
Prostate cancer disproportionately affects men of color, particularly African American men, who are at a higher risk of developing and dying from the disease. By partnering with the Program for the Elimination of Cancer Disparities (PECaD), Siteman Cancer Center, and BJC HealthCare, Kappa Alpha Psi® Fraternity, Inc. aims to address these disparities and ensure that more men have access to early detection and education about prostate health.
