Join us for Trivia with a Twist—an engaging evening celebrating resilience through storytelling and art.

St. Louis, MO– [March 14, 2025] – The upcoming Trivia with a Twist:  Event promises an evening of engaging storytelling, community connection, and the celebration of resilience through art. Featuring the inspirational journeys of two remarkable women, Lea Williams and Rev. Charlin Marie Hughes, this event will highlight the power of storytelling in healing, empowerment, and cultural preservation.

Lea Williams: Healing Through Art and Giving Back
Lea Williams, a Resident Artist at Green Door Art Gallery in Webster Groves, Missouri, has dedicated her life to serving her community. Lea’s journey of healing from domestic and sexual violence has been central to her mission. Her home, known as the PEACE House, was featured in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch in October 2024, showcasing how it has become a sanctuary of recovery and artistic expression. Having recently celebrated 20 years of freedom from domestic violence, Lea continues to inspire others by sharing her story and using her own artwork as a tool for healing.

Rev. Charlin Marie Hughes: A Voice for Change
Rev. Charlin Marie Hughes, MSW, is a powerhouse public speaker and community advocate with over 30 years of impactful service. As a survivor of domestic violence, Charlin channels her experiences into advocacy, empowering survivors, teen mothers, the unhoused, and individuals living with mental illness. Her unwavering dedication has led her to become a sought-after motivational speaker and facilitator, driving transformative change in communities, particularly in St. Louis.

With a Bachelor of Social Work and a Master of Social Work from the University of Missouri-St. Louis, Charlin has been at the forefront of nonprofit leadership, ensuring that underserved voices are heard and uplifted. Her expertise and lived experience make her an essential voice in the fight for social justice and community empowerment.

An Evening of Inspiration and Engagement
Trivia with a Twist: Story is more than just a trivia night—it is a movement to elevate personal narratives that inspire, educate, and unite communities. Through engaging storytelling, the event will highlight resilience, artistic expression, and the transformative power of community support.
