Visit Big Ron’s Backyard BBQ in St. Louis for mouth-watering grilled meats and a smoky dining experience

St. Louis native, Ronald “Big Ron” Milton, is making his mark on the St. Louis grill scene with his Backyard BBQ.  With a taste as big as his beard and burly stature his barbeque and food trailer is hard to miss with it’s illuminated wheels and rims with neon lights. Now his barbeque can be accompanied with his own products, a home-produced barbeque sauce and hot sauce.

The barbeque sauce is uniquely infused with CBD, cannabis base and the hot sauce is a perfect accompaniment to those who want to add a little spice.  Big Ron’s story is bigger than barbeque an a testament of determination and a young man rising beyond the circumstances that often ensnarl young men to the dead end path of the streets and pull from the negative influences often disguised as love.

A former union laborer, who became a first time home buyer and as a single father raised his children and had the courage to engage his dreams and entrepreneurial pursuits of becoming a business owner.  Starting in 2022, Milton was influenced by his Grandmother, Mattie Milton’s love for cooking as an expression of love for family gatherings.  Mattie would often and consistently cook for her five sons every Sunday, including Ronald’s father, Lorraine. “Cooking is real therapeutic for me.

It puts me in a peaceful place, along with good music and good people, it creates a good vibe.” Milton states. “I see my food as purposed and part of a universal language that everyone understands.  Big Ron’s Backyard “Home Team” is his family, Ashley Smith, and his mother Marie Antoinette. “I owe them alot and all the supporters who believe(d) in me. Those who love my food continue to give me the motivation to wake up a never give up on my dreams.  Big Ron looks to expand within the next five years with a few more trucks and a brick and mortar establishment.  He’s also looking for his self and customer-proclaimed famous Backyard bbq and hot sauces to grace the shelves of stores.    As he says…..”Follow the Smoke”
