St. Louis Youth Sharpen Basketball Skills with College Players

(September 12, 2025- St. Louis, MO) – Members of Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis Herbert Hoover Club (HHC) got the chance to sharpen their basketball skills and have some fun on Thursday when they hit the court with the University of Health Sciences & Pharmacy basketball team.
HHC Club members participated in a special clinic where they not only played a lively game but also picked up valuable tips from college-level players. From learning new techniques to practicing teamwork, the experience gave the HHC members a chance to grow both on and off the court.
“This was more than just a game—it was an opportunity for our kids to see what dedication, sportsmanship, and hard work looks like at the next level,” said BGCSTL President/CEO Brandon Williams. “The smiles on their faces said it all.”
Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis continues to create opportunities like these to inspire and enable youth, promoting healthy lifestyles, leadership, and lifelong experiences.
