Date: Tuesday, December 10, 2024
Time: Showtime at 7 PM (Doors open at 6 PM)
Location: Sheldon Concert Hall, St. Louis, MO
Tickets: $25 General Admission

The holiday season is upon us, and what better way to celebrate than with the 20th annual “Christmas in the Kitchen” hosted by Mitzi MacDonald and her family band, Keltic Reign. This beloved event is more than just a concert—it’s a heartwarming kitchen party inspired by Mitzi’s Nova Scotian roots, complete with live Celtic music, dancing, and homemade cookies.

A Show Like No Other

“Christmas in the Kitchen” invites you and your family to step onstage for tea and treats while enjoying a lively performance. The evening features Celtic music from Keltic Reign, guest musicians, and dancers from St. Louis Irish Arts and Dance Caledonia. And don’t miss the special appearance by a bagpipe-playing Santa Claus!

This year’s lineup includes talented guest artists such as:

Peter Henderson – Principal Pianist for the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra

Dan Jackson – Highland Pipes

Anna Allen – Violinist and percussionist

Ken Martin – Singer-songwriter

Tim Mead and Stefanie Getz – Vocalists

Andrea Morse and Blake Mickens – Bassists

Giving Back to the Community

The event is not just about music and fun; it’s a fundraiser for Annie Malone Children and Family Services, a local organization dedicated to supporting children and families in need. Over the years, “Christmas in the Kitchen” has raised more than $141,000 for local charities and collected thousands of toys.

This year, the outreach has expanded to include The Leadership School, St. Louis County’s first free public charter school.

How You Can Help

Attendees are encouraged to bring:

Unwrapped toys or teen gifts (child admission is free with a gift donation)

Non-perishable food items

Gently used winter coats and footwear (all sizes)

Donations can also be made directly to Annie Malone through their Network for Good campaign.

Silent Auction and More

Arrive early to participate in the silent auction starting at 6 PM. With a cash bar and live music, it’s the perfect way to kick off the evening.

Join the Celebration

“Christmas in the Kitchen” is a unique holiday tradition that brings joy, music, and community together. As Mitzi MacDonald says, “Come with your hands full, and leave with a full heart!” Don’t miss this opportunity to make a difference while celebrating the season.

For tickets and more information, visit Mitzi MacDonald’s website.
