Key Updates and Resources
FEMA Disaster Assistance Deadline Extended
The deadline to apply for FEMA disaster assistance has been extended to August 26th. If you need help applying, Disaster Recovery Centers have updated their hours, and the City of St. Louis is offering free Uber rides (up to $50 each way) to these centers. Call 314-219-2187 for transportation assistance.
Clothing Assistance Grant
The Academy-Sherman Park Neighborhood Association is offering clothing expense assistance to 10 families affected by the May 16th tornado. This is a great resource for those in need of support.
Funding for Nonprofits Supporting Tornado Relief
Nonprofits that provided services during the May 16th tornado can apply for reimbursement grants of up to $150,000. The City of St. Louis has partnered with United Way to administer these funds, with a total of $3.5 million available. Applications are open for eligible expenses incurred between May 16 and August 31.

Youth Entrepreneurship Grant
Nonprofits supporting youth entrepreneurship in the St. Louis area can apply for grants ranging from $10,000 to $40,000. Applications close on August 29, 2025, at 5:00 PM.
Urban Agriculture Grant Program
Small agribusinesses in urban areas can apply for grants covering 75% of project costs (up to $10,000). Projects should focus on urban agriculture, economic growth, and sustainability. Applications are due by September 15, 2025.
Community Development Block Grants (CDBG)
The CDBG program is accepting proposals for projects that improve neighborhoods, promote economic development, and serve low- to moderate-income residents. Proposals are due by September 5, 2025, at 4:00 PM.
Nurse Innovator Award
Nominations are open for the Nurse Innovator Award, recognizing nurses who have made significant contributions to the profession. Submit nominations by August 15, 2025.

The Missouri Supreme Court has sent an appeal regarding anti-abortion laws back to the Court of Appeals, keeping the injunction blocking these laws in place for now.
