Join the Jim Butler Memorial Golf Classic this June and make a positive impact—one swing at a time.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis (BGCSTL) is thrilled to announce the return of its retired President/CEO, Dr. Flint Fowler, as Chair for the Annual Jim Butler Memorial Golf Classic. This exciting event will take place on Monday, June 23, 2025, at the breathtaking Norwood Hills Country Club.

The Jim Butler Memorial Golf Classic is a beloved tradition–a community-driven, 4-person scramble golf tournament designed to make a lasting difference. The tournament supports the vital mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis, which is to help all youth, especially those who need it most, reach their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens.

Golfers can expect a memorable day filled with 18 holes of exceptional golf, a pre-round lunch, on-course refreshments, games, contests, and fun surprises along the way. The day will conclude with a delicious dinner and awards ceremony to cap off the celebrations.

This year, the tournament will continue its tradition of honoring two outstanding BGCSTL members who embody the spirit of sportsmanship. These individuals will receive the prestigious Jim Butler Sportsmanship Award along with $500 in recognition of their exceptional achievements. The winners will be announced prior to the event.

BGCSTL President/CEO Brandon Williams expressed his enthusiasm for the tournament, sharing, “This is my first year, and I’m eager to build upon the impactful legacy of this event. Every dollar raised directly supports our members and helps us grow stronger each year.”

Dr. Flint Fowler echoed this sentiment, saying, “The Jim Butler Memorial Golf Classic has raised over five million dollars since its inception, ensuring we can continue investing in youth development. This event represents the community’s dedication to our mission and Jim Butler’s enduring legacy.”

Proceeds from the tournament will go toward critical programs that empower youth to achieve academic success, develop strong character, and lead healthy lifestyles. BGCSTL is proud to serve youth across 12 locations in the Bi-State Region, offering them a safe space to learn, grow, and thrive.

Don’t miss your chance to support a life-changing cause while enjoying a day of golf and camaraderie! Mark your calendars for June 23, 2025, and join us at Norwood Hills Country Club to create positive, lasting change for the youth of St. Louis.
