Empowering the Workforce: MOKAN’s Pre-Apprenticeship Program Graduates Ready to Shine


St. Louis, MO – On Thursday, September 18, 2025, MOKAN will host its highly anticipated Pre-Apprenticeship Program Job and Career Fair at the O’Fallon Park Recreation Complex, located at 4343 West Florissant, St. Louis, MO 63115. The event will run from 9:00 a.m. to noon and promises to be a valuable opportunity for employers and job seekers alike.
This career fair is designed to showcase the exceptional talent emerging from MOKAN’s Pre-Apprenticeship Program. Over the course of 10 weeks, these dedicated students have undergone rigorous training, both theoretical and hands-on, to prepare them for careers in the construction trade. Each graduate brings a wealth of skills and certifications to the table, including:
120 Hours of Essential Life Skills and Work Ethics Training
72 Hours of Hands-On Tools Training
OSHA 10 Certification
First Aid and CPR Certification
Blueprint and Spec Reading Application
Drug Testing (Clean and Clear, Tested Twice)
In addition to these core competencies, the program has recently expanded to include specialized training in:
Confined Space Operations
Forklift Operations
Flagger Training
Work Zone Technician Training
Workplace Violence Education
Why Employers Should Attend
For companies seeking skilled, motivated, and job-ready candidates, this event is a must-attend. Participating employers will have the opportunity to meet and interview pre-apprenticeship graduates who are eager to contribute to the workforce. Each graduate has been equipped with the tools, knowledge, and certifications necessary to excel in the construction industry.
Employers are encouraged to bring company brochures, applications for tradespersons, and, most importantly, an attitude ready to hire qualified candidates. Each company will be provided with a table and two chairs for representatives, as well as access to a private room for more in-depth interviews upon request.
Participation Requirements
To participate in the Career Fair, companies must have hiring needs within the next three months. This ensures that the event remains focused on connecting graduates with immediate opportunities.
