The Foxy 106.9 community mourns the loss of Tammie Holland, a kind and beloved co-host of the Real Breakfast Crew. We remember her infectious presence and signature laugh that brought joy to so many listeners.

Rest in Peace, Tammie Holland/Facebook

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Tammie Holland, beloved co-host of the Real Breakfast Crew on Foxy 106.9. Born on May 20, 1971, Tammie was a reality star and Emmy-nominated journalist whose kind, warm, and infectious presence brought joy to countless listeners. Her signature laugh will be remembered forever.

As a media veteran, Tammie touched many lives through her work in radio, TV, acting, and podcasting. Her show, “This Week With Tammie Holland,” sponsored by the law firm Brown & Crouppen, showcased her prolific writing and genuine class. Tammie was real, a loving mother to her talented daughter Meadow, and a beautiful person inside and out.

In June, the beloved St. Louis Emmy Award-nominated media personality announced that she was electing to go to hospice after finding out that cancer had been detected in her brain. Tammie had bravely battled colon cancer, choosing to take her followers and fans along on the journey. In her post, she stated that she had turned down some treatments and had chosen to do the rest of her journey her way.

Tammie is revered in St. Louis, having started her career in radio. She was a fighter who lifted us all up through her private battles with cancer. If ever there was a person who passed with grace and dignity, it was Miss Tammie Holland. Her remarkable legacy in the radio industry spans over three decades, and her impact on the city of St. Louis will be deeply felt.

This morning, in a post on social media, Tammie’s family announced that she passed away from cancer on July 20, 2024. To honor Tammie’s memory, Foxy 106.9 will dedicate the 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. (CT) hours on Monday, July 22, to inspirational songs, memories, and messages from influential people in her life. Listeners can share their favorite memories and stories about Tammie by calling 314-944-1069 or by posting their thoughts on the station’s Facebook or Instagram pages @Foxy1069FM.

Thank you, Tammie, for your immense contribution to the St. Louis area. Your spirit and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing you and being touched by your work.
