Alpha One Greek is back! Robert Jones celebrated the grand reopening with a special Juneteenth event, bringing new energy to St. Louis’s Greek community.

On June 21, 2025, Robert Jones marked a new chapter in his entrepreneurial journey with the grand opening of his store, Alpha One Greek, now located at 3641 Olive Street in St. Louis, Missouri. From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., the event served as both a celebration and a reintroduction of the business to the community. With an estimated turnout of 75 to 100 guests throughout the day, attendees enjoyed food, drinks, fellowship, and exclusive store discounts.
Born and raised in New Orleans, Robert Jones is no stranger to hard work and community service. Before becoming a full-time business owner, he dedicated 15 years to the housing authority until 2015. His business roots trace back even further—Alpha One Greek began as a side hustle in Peoria, Illinois. “I was dibbling and dabbling to supplement my income,” Robert shared. “Then it became a way of life.”
The store, which caters primarily to members of the Divine Nine Black Greek-letter organizations, has had three homes over the years. From its early days in The Ville (2009–2015), to a long run on Vandeventer (2015–2024), Alpha One Greek has now found a new and improved space on Olive Street, offering larger square footage and easier accessibility.
Alpha One Greek is more than just a Greek paraphernalia store—it’s a full-service hub providing embroidery, promotional items, accessories, outerwear, and professional attire. The business serves a wide clientele, including schools, churches, and other institutions. Its products have reached customers across the U.S. and as far as Japan.
Jones’ commitment to culture and community runs deep. His work has supported monumental events such as The Million Man March and The Million Woman March. With Alpha One Greek’s new location and ongoing mission, Robert hopes to continue uplifting and uniting the community—one stitch at a time.
