As a frequent Amazon shopper, I often browse the platform for new reads. When a friend mentioned she had a book she wanted me to explore, I didn’t hesitate to look it up. Today, the focus is on author Weaver Jackson Brown’s provocative book, The Other Side of Camille. Here’s the story.
The Other Side of Camille
By Weaver Jackson Brown

The Other Side of Camille is inspired by real-life events involving a young single mother determined to break free from a family legacy deeply rooted in dark religious beliefs, witchcraft, and satanism. The story follows Camille as she struggles to save her own soul and that of her child, facing the ongoing battle between forces of good and evil. In an attempt to escape her family’s influence, Camille moves her immediate family to a new city and joins the church of Jesus Christ, believing she has found safety and freedom.
However, Camille then embarks on a perilous journey by attempting exorcisms—actions for which she is neither trained nor qualified—especially given that she has not fully undergone her own healing and deliverance. Her denial of personal trauma and potential mental health issues leaves her unprepared for the spiritual warfare she steps into.
The story’s author observed a series of bizarre, unexplained phenomena affecting Camille and her terrified child—cases that seemed to suggest they were under some form of spiritual possession, rendering them unable to function independently. These unsettling events led the author to believe that Camille’s situation exemplifies a biblical principle found in Matthew 12:43-45: “When an unclean spirit leaves a person, it wanders through arid regions seeking rest but finds none. Then it says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ When it arrives, it finds the house swept clean and put in order. Then it goes back and brings seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and the last state of that person is worse than the first.”
